Please make sure that you are running the latest version of Connectify Hotspot before opening a support ticket. Connectify Hotspot prompts users who are not running the most up-to-date version of the software upon startup.
Run the Support Center
The Connectify Hotspot Support Center not only helps you diagnose your own problems, but gives your customer support agent crucial information needed to diagnose any issues you might be experiencing. The Connectify Hotspot Troubleshooter can be run from Connectify Hotspot Menu > Help > Support Center.
Submit an Error Report through Connectify Hotspot
Without the log files contained in your error report, including your troubleshooter results, we cannot diagnose any technical issues. Therefore, follow the following instructions. To generate an error report, point your mouse to Connectify Hotspot Menu > Help > Support Center and follow the directions.
Describe your Issue in Detail
When opening your support ticket, please make sure to provide a detailed explanation of your issue(s). As a general rule-of-thumb, detailed support requests are likely to be solved more quickly and efficiently. Include any information about what triggered the problem, or the circumstances under which it occurred. If you think that any third-party software or drivers might be conflicting with Connectify Hotspot, please include that information, too. Make sure to indicate how frequently the error or problem occurs.
An example of poor detail: "Connectify is broken. Fix it."
Here’s a good example: "After I wake my laptop from hibernation and attempt to restart the Connectify Hotspot, I receive Error Code 1234. This occurs only when I am running my antivirus software, and I only noticed the error while using the latest beta release of Connectify Hotspot. The older version 1.2.3 did not do this.
